Well, it took more than one week for me to update, but it's been lbit hectic with my school starting and stuff. I've been quite tired so there isn't as much progress as I'd wish. But as you can see, the frame is becoming quite nice. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to finish more than half of the upper part before monday. ^_^

It's August and usually this time of year the little handicrafter is awaken in me, but this year it happened much earlier. I blame my trip to Maldives for that; I left in September and returned in May, well behind my usual "knitting-season". So, I've been doing cross-stiches.

I was wondering few days ago 'oh, how wonderful it would be, if that-and-that author would finally update their fics'. Out of curiosity, I went to check some of them, you know, the last date they've been updated. Kinda made me sad, when some of the dates where from first months of 2008.

So what might have happened?

Sometimes, people just move on - I've done it myself also many times. They find new fandoms that makes them feel all bubbly and giddy (*cough*Bleach*cough*D.Gray-Man*cough*), and works that they were writing are abandoned. Well, maybe not abandoned, but the excitement is lost. It's normal. Heck, I remember fan-girling some of KakaIru members, when I still was a lurker in the deep shadows of the internet, but after few months I joined, they vanished. Disappeared. I know I might sound irrational, but sometimes I wonder 'are they OK?' and 'has something bad happened to them?'. Heh, worrying about people I haven't never met and only know them by their fanfics or fanarts. Sounds healthy... ¬_¬

Anyway, back to the WIP's.

If the author has really moved on or just lost the interest, is it my right to go and ask 'hey, don't want to bother or anything, but are you going to update sometime in the far future?'. Personally, I'm  not sure if that's a good idea. Of course I myself don't mind, if somebody comes and asks that from me, but I don't know about others.  But I don't like the rapid messages 'AAAARGH! UPDATE SOON OR I SHALL SMITE THEE!!' - unless they are asking about the fic I'm currently working on. Besides, I do that myself. Only a little. Sometimes. Okay, I do that a lot. XD

But my point is, how I can reach the author and tell her/him that I'm really missing the familiar icon, the nick underneath it and the way she/he writes those marvelous fics. And, the fact mentioned earlier, that an update is like a life sign to me, little ol' Senna-chan, who worries too much.

So... Does somebody want to share their opinion with me? ^_^
